This Week in Interesting Links – I Love Socks

by mzumtaylor on January 22, 2011

Most people are disappointed when they open their Christmas presents and see socks. Not me. I love socks. Knee-high and colorful, anything argyle, SmartWool and warm, toe-socks, fuzzy socks… It doesn’t really matter what kind they are, I just love them.

I walk past socks in the store, and have to remind myself of my budget or else I’d buy them all. I fervently wish I had more than the dozen pairs of fun socks I do have, but I’ll get there.

But enough about socks, on to the links!

I can’t remember where I read about this initially, but Charles Schwab has a great example of how to set up a personal finance calendar for 2011. Look for a post about the Calendar I set up for us this coming week.

My personal belief is that no one is disappointed. Maybe they’re underwhelmed, or less than excited, but everyone loves socks. They may be boring, but who doesn’t love putting on a fresh (preferably right-out-of-the-dryer warm) pair?
