Hey everyone, 
Starting Monday (assuming I can get everything to work right on the back-end), you will notice a new tab at the top of The Finance Geek website. This new tab will be sporting the label “Becoming a CPA” and will be a blog in which I chronicle my journey to CPA-hood in the great state of Colorado.
This is going to be a place for me to keep track of all of the things I’m learning in the process, but it might also be of help to others who are making, or thinking of making, the same journey. I’ve already done quite a bit of research on the subject, especially concerning the requirement changes that are going to take place in July of 2015. Collecting it all in one place will be useful to me, and may be useful to others.

This is great to hear. I will following and reading along as you go on this journey to becoming a CPA. I’m a Certified Bookkeeper and Tax Pro but from what I’ve heard, trying to pass that damn test to be a CPA is quite an accomplishment.
I haven’t decided if I’m cut out for it or not. I’ve even thought about becoming an Enrolled Agent (EA), so we will see how it goes I guess.
