About Me
Who is Megan?

I am proudly a dork, a nerd, and a geek, but never a dweeb.
Most people you meet will tell you I’m always cheerful, and ready to see the good in a situation or a person. I love creative problem-solving and helping people see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I want to know a little bit about everything, and am on a constant search for new and interesting information and experiences. That being said, there are very few topics that interest me beyond a surface level, but personal finance, money, and the study of interpersonal relationships are endlessly fascinating.
I am a dork/nerd/geek about budgeting, financial literacy, and spreadsheets. Balancing my checkbook isn’t a chore for me, it’s “playing with numbers.”
I like crime-based TV shows (Bones, Castle, Numb3rs, CSI, etc.), and I love a good explosion almost as much as a love a romantic sub-plot. Sci-fi is my favorite genre, but I read read business and personal finance books for fun, too. I will not watch horror movies, they give me nightmares.
I love the colors turquoise, spring green, mauve and crimson, and I dislike the color pink.
Hardware stores and office supply stores and two of my favorite places to wander, and I like window shopping with my sweetie better than actual shopping. I love going to thrift stores and anywhere I can get a good deal. I hate spending money, but will on things that are important to me.
I like to cook if the food turns out well (doesn’t everyone?) and am slowly collecting recipes that I know turn out well.
I am inordinately proud of the fact that I can sew well enough to make myself clothes and use power tools enough to simple home-repair myself.
So, that’s me. Thank you for reading my blog.
