Who is Megan?
I am proudly a dork, a nerd, and a geek.
Most people you meet will tell you I’m always cheerful, and ready to see the good in a situation or a person. I love creative problem-solving and helping people see that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
I want to know a little bit about everything, and am on a constant search for new and interesting information and experiences. That being said, I can never learn enough about accounting, business and management strategy, personal finance, or the study off interpersonal relationships.
I am a nerd about budgeting, financial literacy, and spreadsheets. Reconciling my bank account each month isn’t a chore for me, it’s “playing with numbers.”
I have a love affair with good TV shows that is distressingly enabled by Netflix, and I love a good explosion almost as much as I love a good romantic sub-plot. You’re as likely to find me devouring a fiction novel as you are a business book, but one way or the other, I almost always have a book with me. I refuse to watch horror movies; they make it hard to sleep at night.
I love the colors turquoise, spring green, mauve and crimson, and if I had to pick a least favorite color it would be a tie between beige and baby pink.
Hardware stores and office supply stores and two of my favorite places to wander, and I like window shopping with my husband better than actual shopping. I love going to thrift stores and anywhere else I can get a good deal. I hate spending money, but will on things that are important to me.
I like to cook, and am slowly building a collection of recipes that are both healthy and delicious. I also love to bake, and I have had my pie’s described as “picture perfect.” I really like pie.
I am inordinately proud of the fact that I can sew well enough to make myself clothes and use power tools well enough to do simple home-repair.
So, that’s me. Thank you for reading my blog.
