General update: This semester is awesome! (More details later when I have a minute; work has been a little intense these last few weeks.)
Specific test update: I took my first exam in my Tax Prep class two weeks ago (I was out of town when the rest of the class took the test last week). We got the test results back via email this evening.
I got a 97.5%. 
Now, I know there’s a curve, especially since the teacher told us the day after the test that half of us had missed more than half the questions. And I don’t (yet) know how I did before the curve because the teacher graded my test before the others, so it was in a different stack on her desk at work and she forgot to bring it to class.
But at the end of the day, that doesn’t really matter. What matters is that I got a 97.5%. And that’s pretty freaking awesome. And now I know how tests in this class work, so I can study better and hopefully do better (before the curve).
