Update: The Semester is Over! *collapses*

*video game accomplishment music* “Good job, Megan! You leveled up! New level: 2nd Semester Grad Student.”

In other words, as of 9:00 pm last night, I was officially done with this fall semester. The means my first semester of actual grad school classes (as opposed to undergrad pre-requisites, which is what I was taking before) is done.

There was a period of time where I was sure that this day would never come. I think making it through this semester with my sanity (relatively) intact was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, and I would never have made it without the support of my husband, who basically took care of everything that wasn’t work and school-related so that I could do what I needed to do.

Despite the crazy workload, I’m pleased with the end results:

  1. If my calculations are correct, I am pretty sure I got As in both my classes.
  2. I was able to meet at the requirements for Beta Alpha Psi, and I am going to be inducted as both a member and the new Secretary of the Executive Board this evening at a Membership Banquet.
  3. I was able to complete several parts of the project I’m working on at work ahead of schedule, despite being occasionally distracted by impending deadlines at school.

I am also ridiculously pleased with the papers and presentations that my partners and I produced for our final projects. There was a moment last Friday where I didn’t think it would all come together, but both of the people I was working with pulled out all the stops and we were able to sprint triumphantly across the finish line.

Now… time to think about Christmas, New Years, and the start of the next semester.
